Challenges Solved
370,000 member association, Military Officers Association of America was bursting at the seams with member information. A centralized system and effort was required to convert and manage thousands of reusable knowledge assets and numerous Web applications spanning Web properties and servers. Also, a new Web site was under development and the launch timeline was tight.
A new approach was needed in order to bring structure to MOAA's information management and a new agile Web application code base needed to be developed. Refresh Software convinced MOAA that the immediate need for content management could only be successfully implemented after a full informational architecture, system analysis, and new code base to replace the legacy under performant base in place. Management was eager to see quick results so Refresh formed a task force to accomplish MOAA's wishes.
In true SR2 form (a major competitive advantage for Refresh), Asset Definition screens were created according to MOAA's informational architecture outline so MOAA staff could migrate content in parallel with the massive Web application development revamp project. In doing so, the project length was to cut in half to meet the aggressive timeline. This improvement in efficiency saved money and precious time. Best of all, the customer met its project deadlines within budget.
