MBNA has vast and diverse worldwide operations and Web properties. Bringing order and centralization to the Web infrastructure is quite a feat of achievement.
After studying, testing, and looking at the BIG Content Management Systems for years - MBNA was unable to find an appropriate system offering the best architecture for openness, scalability, and growth. These folks are smart - they are not about to let any vendor control their environment so Content Management Systems vendors were out of the picture pretty quickly.
Additionally, usability was important since MBNA wanted to eliminate the content bottleneck in the Web development group. MBNA was value conscious as well - the organization was not going to invest in something just for the sake of it. A deep analysis would be required before anything made its way in the door.
To achieve the task at hand, Refresh and partner USi made a joint proposal in which SR2 would be used as the standard Content Management Tool for building out MBNA's Web applications. USi would provide a team of programmers and the application hosting would reside at USi's massive application hosting facility.
MBNA is a very happy Refresh customer and SR2 is now the standard Content Management Tool for MBNA's Web properties.
