Refresh Software Definitions and License Model
Definitions
Refresh Software's licensing model is based on the number of unique SR2 Servers, Content Domains, Applications, and Named Users.
SR2 Server – The SR2 Server is Refresh Software's Content Management platform. The SR2 Server provides the master Content Domain for configuration, setup, and management of application content domains. Additionally, 1 application, 1 content domain, and 1 master user are bundled with the licensed server.
A typical enterprise installs SR2 on a dedicated server for content authoring.
Named User - "Named Users" are those specific individual users who have access to the Software from Customer network facilities or who for any reason need to log into or access the Software for any content creation or management, systems administration, workflow tasks, to make any data or code changes or for any other purpose whatsoever. For the sake of clarity, Named Users shall include full and part-time employees, contractors, agents, or other workers of Customer; provided, however each individual person shall count as only one Named User. Once a Named User has been deactivated by the Software's administrator (even if as a result of employee turnover) such Named User license may not be transferred to another person.
Named Users are intended to have access to any licensed SR2 Server and Content Domain within the enterprise. Named Users may have restricted access at the customers choice depending on Roles.
Content Domains and Applications - A Content Domain is defined as an individual instance of SR2 running on a Server. The number of Content Domains utilized are the result of the system design created by the customer architecture team. Content Domains are typically used to create separation between applications and provide SR2 functionality similar to a separate SR2 server.
Applications are considered to be a program or group of programs designed for a specific task. Examples of Applications would be a Human Resources application, a Financial application, an Intranet application etc.
Content Domains and Applications are also utilized as a metric in determining the value a customer will derive from the SR2 Content Management System.
Licensing Model:
The Refresh Software licensing model is based on the number of unique SR2 Servers, Content Domains (as described above), Applications (as described above), and Named Users. Named Users are intended to have access to any licensed SR2 Server, any licensed Content Domain or licensed application regardless of the number of each.
