Having started his career at a Fortune 500 company in information technology. Bob began in engineering and eventually moved to marketing where he headed marketing for a division with worldwide responsibilities. He then founded two successful startups, and led a successful turnaround, Bob has experience with every facet of running a business. Bob, as founder, Chairman and CEO of SystemSoft, took the company public and achieved an $880M market valuation. Bob is responsible for the strategic vision and all of the day-to-day operations of Refresh. His experience and hands-on approach have given him the ability to determine quickly what is working and what needs improvement. Most importantly however, Bob understands the steps required to turn those weaknesses inherent in every organization into strengths.
Prior to joining Refresh Software, Bob Angelo most recently served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Metatomix where he raised $28M in venture capital funding to become a leader in integration, correlation, and automation for Enterprise Resource Interoperability (ERI) Solutions and a leader in metadata transformation engines. Bob drove Metatomix strategic vision and managed the ongoing operations of the company.
Prior to co-founding Metatomix, Bob was Chairman, President and CEO of MediaBridge, a content management company where Bob changed the focus of the company to content management for cross channel marketing and drove twelve consecutive quarters of record revenue growth. Bob led the company's successful capital raise of $25M at $17M valuation, its turnaround, and subsequent sale to CMGI-backed Engage for $278M in three years. Before MediaBridge, Bob held senior management and engineering positions at Phoenix Technologies, Honeywell, and Cullinet Software.
