Technical Publications

Stop wasting time and money with a traditional desktop publishing solution and utilize SR2's DITA Solution to reduce costs and standardize your documentation. SR2 provides saving by reusing content topics across multiples documents. A single change to a topic will dynamically update all the documents that reference that content asset. Additionally metadata can be added within the content to facilitate conditional publishing to produce multiple variations of the documents.

What is DITA?

DITA, which stands Darwin Information Typing Architecture, is an XML-based architecture for authoring, producing, and delivering information.

DITA is a Topic based authoring architecture for the creation of self-contained content objects that can be reused in different deliverables by being associated into a document map. The content topics types include Tasks, Concepts, and References. The deliverables that are produced are documents which can be published to multiple formats: PDF, XHTML, Online Help, XML, and Word.

SR2's DITA Solution:

  • SR2's content repository is integrated with XML authoring interfaces to provide non-technical users a simple authoring experience.
  • The SR2 repository provides the workflow to localize content internally or export the content to be translated by a language service provider.
  • SR2's publishing service allows organization to publish content based on conditional publishing rules to dynamically update and deliver documents.
